How To Convert PDF Online?
Is there a way to convert scientific paper pdfs to neatly formated epubs?
Nope. PDF files are formatted in "blocks" rather than in flowing pages (like an ePub or pretty much any file created by a word processing program like LibreOffice or Word). Blocks are linked with coordinates, and do not flow from the top of a page to the bottom. Your best bet is going to be to use a program like Calibre to convert the PDF to an RTF file. It might pull in a lot of the formatting. You can get Calibre here. calibre - E-book management
Convert PDF: All You Need to Know

Here's one way to get things going: curl -L | tar oz -C calibrate/ Then it'll run the setup script, get the book list, and tell you the new format. To get the files, you can just put them in the root of ~/Caliber/e-books. It'll put them in your ~/PDF folder under the name of the book you want. You'll see that some links are broken in Caliber 1.7. Just ignore them. To export the data you need to find the correct file and go to “Save”, and then “Export.” And you'll see the saved files under “/e-books/Calibrate/calibre-e3-1-7/Calibrate.Rb.” If for some reason they aren't there, try a different folder. Go to Caliber > Preferences > Text Editing > Format, and see if it shows the proper filename. It should. To install Caliber, open “Caliber” from.
